Dentures & Partials

Dentures & Partials

If you have any missing teeth, dentures have always been available to our patients who need them. While dentures do take some getting used to and will never feel exactly like natural teeth, today’s dentures are more natural-looking and comfortable than ever before. We are proud to say we only use premium denture teeth to achieve a natural-looking denture whether full or partial.

Full Dentures

If you have severe or chronic tooth problems, full dentures are an excellent way to restore your oral health. Full dentures are a set of custom-made, removable tooth replacements, usually made of flesh-colored plastic or acrylic. They usually require the extraction of all teeth in the upper and/or lower half of the mouth.

Full dentures have several advantages over simply wearing dentures to replace missing teeth. Due to a lack of teeth, full dentures can also help to fill out your face, which may appear sunken. This will make you look younger and healthier. Full dentures will also allow you to eat a wider range of foods, which will benefit your overall physical health.

Partial Dentures

If you are only missing a single tooth or a few teeth, maybe you want to get partial dentures instead. Replacement teeth are usually attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases in removable partial dentures. It could be entirely made of plastic or a combination of metal and acrylic, giving them the strength to handle your chewing and speaking needs while also looking all-natural.

A partial denture can have a metal framework with clasps that connect to your teeth, or it can have more natural-looking connectors. They can quickly restore your mouth’s aesthetics and fill in any gaps in your smile.

Partial dentures can also help to keep your remaining teeth healthy. They can help to prevent the remaining teeth from shifting and weakening, as well as overuse of one side of the mouth, which can lead to wear and damage.

Katy Dental Experts will design a full or partial denture for you depending on what you need.  If you are ready to get the smile of your dreams, schedule a dental appointment with us now.  Visit our office in Katy, Texas and we will help you choose your best option.
